Day Three: Pizza Place Pizza

Event: Enjoying Pizza from The Pizza Place

I love pizza.  I truly think I could eat pizza four or five times a week and not grow tired of it.  And I’m not particular—I can enjoy a national brand, a local joint, or even a good frozen pie.

But, my absolute favorite pizza is from The Pizza Place in my hometown of Parkersburg.  You can’t go wrong with any slice there, but my favorite is thick crust with cheese and sometimes pepperoni.

Today was a pepperoni kind of day.

(Only two of those were mine.  Dad and Jim partook in the deliciousness as well.)

Certainly, I may be slightly biased, but it is really, really good.  And today’s slices hit the spot.  They were just as tasty as they were when my parents cut them into bite-size pieces for me when I was little.  And the pepperoni formed the same grease cups they did when I was in high school and would hurry back across the street to school after lunch before the bell rang.

Today’s early lunch was the perfect low-key follow-up to the busy excitement on Days One and Two.

If you’re ever in the Burg, I highly recommend you check out one of their three locations—but the one on Southside is, by far, the best. ;-)  While you’re there you may also fall in love with another local favorite, Mister Bee Potato Chips.
